Experience delivering my 2 princesses at PCMC

PCMC - Prince Court Medical Center. Yeah, the luxurious hospital located at Jalan Raja Chulan, really near to KLCC - about 5 mins drive la. I'm not so sure whether this hospital can be considered quite luxurious as so far the hospitals that I'd been to do not have nice deco and all the modern design look. All hospitals that I'd been to have this 'ngutik2' aura except for Kuching Specialist (KPJ) very the 'rumah kedai' look but never judge from the building as they do have quite good medical expertise, based on reviews and my dad's experience with his knees. Yeah, he's now a proud owner of two titanium knees (Thank you PETRONAS!).

So back to PCMC. I love this hospital because it's clean (duh~), nice deco/design, the lobby is comfortable as they don't mind my Sara guling2 on their sofas, on their carpet and really comfortable sofas for us to enjoy our brunch. Yeah, they have 1 cafe in the middle, which is convenient for everyone who's waiting for their meds, friends, family members or for those just lazing around. Ooh, I love the lifts with cleas glass wall where sometimes I imagined I was bungee jumping from Level 6 to B1. Haha.

Anyway, I delivered both of my girls here by seeing Dr. Seri, the only female-malay O&G here. Actually I don't mind seeing male doctors or other races doctors, but due to my mum's concern, as she prefers female and malay, hence, I have no other choice. Ya la, anak first ria in 2009, I don't know what to expect from Dr. Seri. Balun jak, ekot nasib. If in Kuching, at least I know the recommended doctor if O&G, Dr. Azizah lah, sapa gik.

So far my experience with her, was great and definitely I want her to deliver all my babies. (haha, konon). One thing about Dr. Seri, she's a very, very cheerful doctor, not grumpy, not snobbish either. A tough woman although sometimes we can't really follow some of her advise because she's a really tough woman. Let's say, for my 1st pregnancy, I was carrying my daughter for 7 months working in a fabrication yard in Teluk Ramunia & Pasir Gudang. Both in Johor. I'm a Project Engineer and my task is to check on the site progress every afternoon. There're lots of things going on at site, blasting, painting, welding, cutting and other construction activites. I did ask Dr. Seri this question, "What if I inhaled the welding fume everytime I'm at site. Will it affect my baby?". Her answer, "Yati, do you feel any pain or bleeding after inhaling those?". I said "No". Her respond, "I'm pretty sure your baby is tough and "lasak" as you. So I don't think that will harm your baby." My hubby was, hmmm....are you really sure doctor? I gave my hubby the "I don't think so" look. Well, in the end, this is my opinion, it's more toward following your instinct and how well are you at taking care of yourself. If you know you are pregnant, just be cautious.

Delivering my 2 princesses will continue...
